Our Story

We moved to Ben’s childhood home in central Vermont after his father, Ed, passed away from leukemia in 2013. Since then, we have downsized the very large flower farm into something more sustainable environmentally and personally for our family, and focused on building a retreat location here. The land itself is a balm on the soul: a high hill surrounded by sky, mountains and forests.

Cloud Mountain Living Arts arose out of a desire to live more closely with the land. Our goal is to grow our minds and hearts alongside our growing children, to examine ourselves and our place in the world, and to encourage others to engage in learning and reflecting.
